What is included: All licenses and visas for legal travel to Cuba. Round-trip airfare from our hub cities of Montreal or Cancun. Airport/hotel transfers. Nine nights double occupancy at the hotel with breakfast. (Private room surcharge is $450 for nine nights.) All classes and group events, dinner at closing event, all shows, staff, translation and guides. Transportation to and from group events in private, air-conditioned bus.
Air Travel: Your program fee includes airfare from Montreal, Canada (Believe us -- it's the best way! The best planes and the most reliable schedule.) or Cancun, Mexico. Other options may be available; the situation is fluid. But we have thus far had terrible experiences with the flights that supposedly are available from New York, LA, or Miami. For now we are not offering these bookings as part of the program. You may choose to book your own air travel, a $200 discount, and meet us at the hotel. You book your own connecting flight.
Your Four-Star Hotel is the Hotel Sevilla, on the Prado promenade bordering Old Havana, an area recognized and protected by UNESCO as a world treasure. The hotel has the charming elegance of an old Spanish palace, excellent service, a beautiful dance hall, which we use for many of our classes and events, and a recently-renovated pool and health spa. Its convenient location allows for walking tours of the beautiful old city.
Early booking is both more secure and more economical. We have already been granted the relevant license but must apply for individual visas/tourist cards for you. The application process for visas can take up to 3 months -- only early registration can ensure your place, so we need your deposit as soon as possible. The price is significantly lower if you register early, because last-minute preparations are very work-intensive for our staff.
Translation: All class sessions are translated by experienced Spanish-English 'dance' translators. All interviews and guided events are translated as well.
Travel Restrictions: All US nationals travelling to Cuba need our license and a visa/tourist card. Non-US nationals should contact their own embassy for information on travel to Cuba. Be aware that if you are not a US national, but travel to or from Cuba through the US, you are subject to the same restrictions as US nationals.
