Our Concept
A Personal Encounter With Cuban Dancers
A core element in this experience is our staff of highly skilled, carefully chosen Cuban dancers.
These talented local social dancers, professional dancers and teachers work with us very closely. The ratio of staff to participants is nearly one to one. They teach us salsa, and learn tango along with us. They gender-balance our classes and accompany us as our guides and partners to dance events.
Beyond the dance experience, our staff share their extraordinary hearts and spirits with us in an intimate way. They draw us powerfully into their world through presentations on their Santeria religion, their way of life, their rich music and percussion traditions.
This is an official U.S. Treasury-licensed intercultural exchange, of salsa, tango and other dances with dancers from Havana, Cuba.
